Ballard, was born in England in 1633, and at the age of two years was brought to this country by her father in the ship "James," from London. She married Joseph Jenckes, son of Joseph Jenckes, of Lynn, Mass., about 1652. In 1652, soon after her marriage, she was "presented" at court, charged with "wearing silver lace." In 1669 they went to Warwick, R. I. Two years later they removed to Providence, where, in 1717 or later, she died. DESCENT.
